National Poppy Day is May 27th

The efforts of our ALA members and their Poppy Program funds are making a significant impact in the lives of veterans, military, and their families in their local communities.

Speaking about making a difference: ALA Department of Florida, Unit 107, and Unit 57 combined forces to hand out blessing bags to homeless women veterans at a stand down event. Mohawk, N.Y. Unit 25 assembled and distributed wellness bags for COVID-positive members. The many ways our members are impacting lives are truly endless.

Rally your members, start your plans, review your Poppy Program Guide, and prepare to make a difference. We are profoundly amazed by your dedicated efforts and devoted acts of love to our veterans, military, and their families.

It is never too early to plan ahead for National Poppy Day®

National Poppy Day and Memorial Day will be here before we know it! If you haven’t started making your plans, now is the time. National Poppy Day is May 27 this year (always held on the Friday before Memorial Day).
