Community Meeting: Equinor’s Empire Offshore Wind Project

Empire Wind is a proposed utility-scale offshore development that would be located approximately 20 miles off the southern coast of Long Beach. It COULD contain up to 147 wind turbines, two offshore substations, with cable landfall in the City of Long Beach. construction will consist of approximately 12 miles of transmission lines traversing underground through Long Beach, Island Park, and Oceanside with pointS of interconnection and a substation in the Inc. Village of Island Park.

This Community Meeting is being held to provide an opportunity for residents to review and discuss the potential impacts of offshore wind development and the proposed sub-station and cable route through the Village of Island Park.
