Annual Island Park Fire Department Elections

Mayor McGinty was happy to be joined by Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and Trustee Michael Gagliardi at the Annual Island Park Fire Department elections.

Mayor McGinty stated “On behalf of the Village Board and myself we congratulate Chief Frank Eye on his election as Incoming Chief and furthermore we thank out-going Chief Michael Whalen on his tenure as Chief of the Island Park Fire Department. We acknowledge the Assistant Chiefs who were also elected at Monday nights meeting, 1st Assistant Chief John Briguglio, 2nd Assistant Chief Donny Cardineau and 3rd Assistant Chief Michael Whalen.  The Island Park Fire Department is the lifeblood of our community and they have been fantastic in their continued response to the needs of our community. The level of devotion of each member of our department outstanding and I am happy to call them friends. I thank the Chiefs and Members of the Department for their service to the Village of Island Park and the entire community.”
