Island Park Fire Department 100th Anniversary – Road Closure Advisory

This is Mayor McGinty with an important message. This Saturday (8/10) the Island Park Fire Department will be hosting their 100th Anniversary Celebration which will include a parade and block party at Masone Beach. As of today the celebration will proceed as scheduled, if changes must be made due to inclement weather we will inform the community. Please be aware of some closures and restrictions this Saturday.

– There will be no parking on Long Beach Road from Warwick Road to Island Pkwy from 4pm to 7:30pm.

– Warwick Blvd (Harbor Isle), Warwick Road, and Long Beach Road (from Warwick to Island Pkwy) will be closed from approximately 5:30pm to 7:30pm to allow for the safe passage of the parade.

– Lot 3 (Nassau Lane LIRR) will be closed from Friday at 6pm to midnight Saturday.

– The Masone Beach parking lot on Beach Way will be closed from Friday at 6pm to midnight Saturday.

– Waterford Road from Island Parkway to 32 Waterford and Beach Walk will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to approximately 11:00 p.m..
